Pedestrian Killed In Train Incident At Sharon MBTA Station

A pedestrian was killed Wednesday afternoon in an incident involving a train at the Sharon MBTA station, police said.

SHARON, MA — A pedestrian was killed Wednesday afternoon in an incident involving a train at the Sharon MBTA station, police said.

Sharon police dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 3:09 p.m. Wednesday reporting the incident at 1 Upland Road. Police and firefighters responded and confirmed the fatality.

Sharon police are assisting MBTA Transit Police, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office and Amtrak Police with the investigation.

Authorities did not release the identity of the person who died or additional details about the circumstances of the incident.
