• Shutesbury Post Office remains open after USPS reversal (wwlp.com) — Postal service in Shutesbury will continue uninterrupted after the U.S. Postal Service reversed its plan to close the local post office following weeks of community advocacy and support from Sen. Ed Markey. Residents can keep relying on their hometown post office, which officials are calling a major win for the town. 
• Want to borrow a kayak? Stockbridge Library now lets you check one out (berkshireeagle.com) — A creative kayak-lending program at the Stockbridge Library was inspired by the Shutesbury Public Library’s similar approach near Lake Wyola, where the director once worked. Stockbridge residents can now check out kayaks with their library cards, and a June 20 beach launch party will showcase the boats, safety rules, and family-friendly activities.
