Car Crashes Right Into The Teeth Of Somerville Dental Office

The vehicle sustained significant front-end damage after going through the window.

SOMERVILLE, MA — A motor vehicle crashed into a business in Davis Square Wednesday morning, according to the Somerville Police and Fire Departments.

Firefighters responded to the scene at approximately 6:45 a.m. after receiving reports of an incident on 67 Holland St. A black sedan was found to have crashed through the first-floor window of Davis Square Dental. The driver, a 72-year-old man, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Somerville Public Information Officer Victoria MacGregor told Patch that the business was not open at the time of the incident, and therefore no one was inside. The damaged vehicle was safely removed from the scene by the fire department.

Davis Square Dental was founded in 1998 by Dr. Casey B. Cook. Before opening the practice, Cook was a clinical instructor at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.

“In addition to the ground floor medical office space, 67 Holland includes several additional storefronts and apartments above,” MacGregor told Patch. “No additional injuries are reported. The City’s Inspectional Services Division examined the building and found that these spaces can continue to be occupied.”
