Somerville's Out of the Blue art gallery is on the move back to Allston - Cambridge (csindie.com) — Out of the Blue Art Gallery is packing up its 250 artworks and leaving Somerville's city-owned Armory building after years of tension over management and a 2021 eminent domain takeover. The beloved, performance-friendly gallery is relocating to Allston's Jackson Mann Community Center, while its departure raises questions about how Somerville will fill the creative void in the Armory's vast space.
   

2. Somerville's West Nile Virus Risk Raised To High (patch.com) — Somerville's West Nile virus risk level has been raised to high, and officials are urging residents—especially those over 50—to take extra precautions against mosquito bites. The city and state recommend repellents, long sleeves, and reducing outdoor time at dusk and dawn, plus removing standing water around homes. Health officials continue monitoring mosquito samples across Massachusetts throughout the summer.
   

3. Local Food Chain's Somerville Spot Closes After A Decade (patch.com) — NU Kitchen has permanently closed its Somerville location on Washington Street in Union Square after nearly a decade, though the owners haven't shared a specific reason. The health-focused cafe chain is keeping its Worcester and Newburyport spots open and is encouraging Somerville regulars to visit those locations instead. Residents now have one fewer local option for smoothies, bowls, and vegetarian-friendly meals.
   

4. What the US trade war with Canada and new tariffs mean for prices (omaha.com) — A recent photo from Somerville shows a Canadian flag flying outside a home as U.S.–Canada trade tensions flare up again.
