• Town Meeting & Annual Town Report recognized community members for their service (mysouthborough.com) — Southborough residents were recently honored at Annual Town Meeting and in the 2025 Town Report for decades of volunteer service, from planning and open space work to Girl Scout leadership and Quilts of Valor for veterans. The report also highlights local library service, recognizes 60 residents who died last year, and offers an overview of town departments and finances that residents can review online.
   

• 2026 Marathon: Elizabeth Debroczy with Team NECC (mysouthborough.com) — A Southborough resident, Elizabeth Debroczy, is running the 2026 Boston Marathon to raise $10,000 for the Southborough-based New England Center for Children, supporting autism education and research. Fresh from graduating Clemson, she’s dedicating four months to training and fundraising in honor of her sister, an NECC staffer, and the students she met at NECC’s 5K.
   

• GOP candidate for lieutenant governor recently owed thousands in unpaid taxes, records show (wbur.org) — A Republican candidate for Massachusetts lieutenant governor, Anne Brensley, recently resolved tens of thousands of dollars in overdue federal taxes after liens were filed on her Wayland properties. She partly blames an IRS error and the closure of the Southborough IRS office she previously used, while continuing her campaign with backing from a leading GOP gubernatorial hopeful.
