• Two Injured in I-91 Multi-Vehicle Crash in Springfield, Massachusetts (news-usa.today) — Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on I-91 South between Exits 5 and 6 in Springfield, prompting a major response from state police and city firefighters. One person had to be freed from a heavily damaged vehicle before both victims were taken to a local hospital, where they’re expected to recover as investigators work to determine what caused the late-night collision.
   

• Springfield Schools propose to make up days canceled during cyberattack over winter break (masslive.com) — Springfield families may see their three-week winter break shortened so schools can make up four days lost to a recent cyberattack. Administrators and the teachers union propose holding classes on December 21–22 and January 4–5, keeping schools closed for Three Kings Day and aiming to meet the state’s 180-day requirement without pushing classes deep into late June.
   

• Springfield man arrested on murder charge in Western Mass. teen's death (masslive.com) — Springfield residents should know that police have arrested a 22-year-old city man on a murder charge tied to an August shooting that killed a 19-year-old Holyoke woman. He’s also accused in an earlier Springfield shooting that seriously injured another victim, with both cases investigated by local police and the Hampden County District Attorney’s office.
