• Sudbury Releases Draft 10-Year Open Space And Recreation Plan (patch.com) — Sudbury residents are being asked to weigh in on a new 10-year Open Space and Recreation Plan that will shape how the town protects land, water, wildlife, and recreational areas. A draft is available for public comment through Oct. 15, with a public input session that evening at the Fairbank Community Center to discuss priorities like trail connections and preserving Sudbury's character.
   

• Local Event: Estate Sale & Garage Sale (patch.com) — A large estate and garage sale is coming up at 7 Pheasant Ave. in Sudbury on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shoppers will find vintage furniture, collectible clocks, artwork, books, household items, tools, and more, with prices set to move things quickly.
   

• Press Release Massachusetts Delivers Specialized Training to Prepare Firefighters for Building Collapses and Major Emergencies (mass.gov) — Sudbury firefighters were among those who just completed an intensive eight-day Structural Collapse Rescue Technician course at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. The free program trains departments statewide to handle building collapses and other complex rescues, meaning Sudbury's crews now have additional skills and experience to respond if a major structural emergency occurs locally or elsewhere in the Commonwealth.
