SUDBURY, MA — A children's store in Sudbury is preparing to open again after closing more than a year ago.

Learning Express of Sudbury hopes to begin a soft opening Monday at 435 Boston Post Road, Suite 7, the business announced Saturday. The specialty toy retailer is best known for selling toys, games, books, puzzles, art supplies and gifts.

The business described the Monday opening as tentative and said a broader opening is expected within the next few weeks. The store said its early selection will include squishies, candy, fidget toys and other new merchandise.

The business said at the time that it had been unable to negotiate a sustainable lease agreement with the plaza’s new owners, according to a report from Sudbury Weekly.

"The shelves are getting STUFFED at Learning Express of Sudbury and we are so excited to show you what’s coming," Learning Express wrote in the announcement. "We’re working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready, and we want YOU to be part of the journey!"
