• North Shore DAV Officer Honored With Gomes Service Award (patch.com) — A Swampscott-based veterans' leader has been honored with Congressman Seth Moulton's 2026 Peter J. Gomes Service Award for her work with the Lynn-Swampscott Disabled American Veterans Chapter. Brigadier General Andrea Gayle-Bennett was recognized for connecting local disabled veterans with housing, food, and support networks, and for strengthening outreach programs that improve daily life for veterans across the North Shore.
