• Huge Scratch-Off Winner Sold At Wakefield Store (patch.com) — Wakefield residents might want to double-check their tickets after a $10,000 prize was won on a $1,000,000 Neon Cash scratch-off sold at the local 7-Eleven. The Mass Lottery notes there are still four $1 million top prizes available, and reminds players that retailers earn bonuses on winning tickets and that everyone should play responsibly.
   

• Governor Healey awards $4.4M to expand Microtransit and Last Mile Transit connections across Massachusetts including Burlington and Woburn (homenewshere.com) — Wakefield is set to benefit from a new $1 million regional microtransit pilot led by Woburn, expanding flexible, on-demand rides that connect residents to jobs, schools, health care and transit hubs. The funding is part of a $4.4 million statewide package from Governor Healey's administration aimed at closing "last mile" gaps and improving affordable transportation options across Massachusetts communities.
   

• Obituary: Nancy M. Gloor, 83 (thereadingpost.com) — Wakefield readers may know Nancy M. Gloor through her son Eddie, who lives in town, as the family mourns her passing at age 83. Raised in Stoneham and later living in Reading, Freedom, N.H., and North Andover, Nancy was remembered for her love of family, gardening, lakeside summers, cross-country travels with her husband Irving, and deep affection for animals.
