Norfolk County Sheriff's Office to host 'House to House for Heroes' veterans' outreach in Avon on September 26th (franklinmatters.org) — Norfolk County's Sheriff's Office is bringing its 'House to House for Heroes' veterans outreach to Avon on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, after previously visiting Weymouth and other nearby towns. Weymouth veterans and volunteers are welcome to join the door-to-door effort, which starts 9:30 a.m. at Avon's VFW Post 8892 and connects former service members with benefits and support.

Learning Exotic Animal Medicine at the New England Wildlife Center (osu.edu) — A veterinary student spent a week training at the New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth, gaining hands-on experience with exotic pets through the low-cost Odd Pet Vet clinic. 3.
