• City Council thrilled about Oct. 4 Farmer's Market in Woburn Center (homenewshere.com) — Woburn is launching a new downtown farmer's market on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Campbell Street lot and nearby pocket park, with free family yoga at 8:30 a.m. City officials see this as a test run that could restore a regular market to Woburn Center, so turnout and feedback from residents will help decide if it becomes a recurring event.
   

• Patriot League Announces M-F Athletic Cross Country Weekly Awards (9.22.26) (patriotleague.org) — Holy Cross senior Joseph Mahon of Woburn and Woburn Memorial earned Patriot League Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after dominating the 8K at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. His 22‑second victory helped secure a third‑place team finish, while other New England programs like Boston University also picked up weekly honors in the conference's latest awards.
