Beloved Taco Spot To Close In Worcester
The Mexican restaurant announced it will close after five years in the city.
WORCESTER, MA — A beloved Mexican restaurant in Worcester announced it will close after five years in the city.
The Taco Spot will close its location at 264 Grafton St on Aug. 1, the eatery announced on Thursday. Business owners said the closure is coming as rent has doubled and they have not yet found a new space in Worcester.
"We are incredibly grateful for all the memories, familiar faces, and support we have received there over last 5 years," the business wrote in the announcement.
The Taco Spot will continue operating its Shrewsbury location at 6 Hartford Tpke.
"This is not goodbye and we will continue serving you at our Shrewsbury location, just past the Worcester–Shrewsbury line on Route 20 and less than 10 minutes away,"the business wrote in the announcement.
The Taco Spot said the Shrewsbury restaurant offers the same menu and service, along with more parking and a larger dining area. The restaurant also offers delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub.
