Woman Bit By Fox In Worcester, Animal Euthanized

WORCESTER, MA — A woman was hospitalized after she was bitten by a fox behind a Granite Street residence Thursday morning, police said.

The bite was reported at about 9:45 a.m., a Worcester police spokesperson confirmed to Patch. The woman suffered injuries to her foot and was taken to a local hospital. Her condition was not immediately known.

The fox was located and euthanized, police said. It will be sent to the state for rabies testing.
