New Express Car Wash Debuts In Worcester

WORCESTER, MA — A new option for Worcester residents to wash their cars has arrived in the city.

Hang 10 Car Wash, an express car wash chain, opened at 1075 Grafton St. last Monday. The opening marks the car wash chain's first New England location and 10th in the U.S., co-owner Casey Mulligan told Patch.

The company offers two unlimited-wash membership packages along with vacuums, mat washers and dog-washing stations.

Mulligan, who operates the Worcester location with two other owners, Hang 10 CEO Chris Rondeau and Glenn Dowler, said they selected Worcester based on factors including traffic, nearby retail and the broader market.

“We decided to open the market in Worcester because the Northeast doesn’t have many true express washes,” Mulligan said. “We bring a very futuristic look and vibe with our colors.”

The location also puts the company near its headquarters in Seabrook, New Hampshire, she said.

Hang 10's Membership Model

Hang 10 offers two membership options: the Little Kahuna for $15 per month and the Big Kahuna for $29 per month. The Big Kahuna includes ceramic wax and graphene products along with access to vacuums, mat washers and dog-washing stations.

Rondeau, who is also the former CEO of Planet Fitness, designed the membership model to resemble the gym industry, Mulligan said.

“It’s simple and easy to choose from,” she said.

Hang 10 describes its membership community as the “Shaka Club,” offering unlimited washes and other benefits. The company said its Hawaiian-inspired “Shaka Mentality” is intended to create a welcoming atmosphere, according to the Hang 10 website.

Mulligan said customer feedback has been one of the most rewarding parts of opening the Worcester location.

“I love seeing people with a clean car and I really love when they give good feedback letting us know how clean their car is,” she told Patch. “I’ve had a few people already tell me they’ve never seen their car this clean before.”

Grand-Opening Specials, Promotions

Hang 10’s current membership prices are available through Sept. 30, 2026. Customers who enroll before the deadline will keep their initial monthly rate for life, Mulligan said. Prices are expected to change after that date.

Mulligan said the $29 Big Kahuna package includes services that competitors offer for about $49 per month.

First-time customers can also receive one free car wash.

"We recommend everyone try our car wash at least once,” Mulligan told Patch. “Most people sign up right after they see how good their car comes out.”

Big Kahuna members can use the dog-washing stations at no additional charge. Customers who visit at night can also see a light show through the car wash’s translucent roof, Mulligan said.

Hang 10 also says it has committed to giving 1 percent back to local organizations and national partners through the Hang 10 Car Wash Foundation. The foundation donated $14,000 to charities and nonprofit organizations in 2024, according to the company’s website.
