WORCESTER, MA — A new Latin-style chicken restaurant is coming to Worcester this week.
Pollo Royal will officially open Wednesday at 68 Stafford St. in Webster Square Plaza, bringing its signature rotisserie-style chicken and a menu of Latin American favorites to the city.
The restaurant's menu includes enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, tacos, tortas and other specialty dishes. Pollo Royal says its recipes are rooted in family traditions inspired by immigrants from El Salvador.
The business opened its first location in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2006 and has since expanded across multiple states. In Massachusetts, Pollo Royal also operates restaurants in Revere, Everett, Lynn and Framingham. Additional locations are located in Charlotte and Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
The new Worcester restaurant will occupy a storefront in Webster Square Plaza, a shopping center that is also home to Shaw's, Dental Dreams and Spectrum.
Pollo Royal's arrival adds another dining option to the busy Stafford Street corridor and marks the chain's latest expansion in Massachusetts.
The eatery will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
