New Middle Eastern-Style Coffee, Nut Shop To Open In Worcester

Turkish coffee will be the main focus, the owners said.

WORCESTER, MA — A new shop selling coffee, nuts and desserts is set to open in Worcester.

Roast and Raha will open at 9 Stafford St. Its owners went before the city’s Licensing Commission on Apr. 30 to request a common victualler license.

The owners said they plan to sell coffee and nuts, with nuts roasted on site. The business will also offer authentic desserts and a small dining area.

The shop will feature an assortment of coffees and specialty drinks, with a focus on Middle Eastern-style coffee. Turkish coffee will be the main focus, the owners said.

It’s not yet clear when the business will open, but the Licensing Commission unanimously approved the license.

Roast and Raha will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, according to their application.
