Westborough Police Traffic Stops, Crashes Rose In June
Westborough police handled more than 2,500 calls last month.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough police handled more than 2,500 calls in June, according to monthly statistics from the department.
Police recorded 21 arrests, 27 criminal summonses, 189 incident reports, 75 traffic accidents, 495 traffic stops, 24 jail diversion program assists and 2,566 total calls in June.
The June numbers show total calls rose from May, when the department reported 2,433 calls. Arrests also increased slightly from 20 in May to 21 in June.

Traffic accidents rose from 54 in May to 75 in June, while traffic stops increased from 488 to 495. Incident reports fell from 207 in May to 189 in June, and criminal summonses dropped from 34 to 27.

The department reported 24 jail diversion program assists in June, down from 31 in May.
