Worcester Bravehearts Return To Fitton Field For 2026 Opening Night
The city's summer collegiate baseball team is returning for another season this month.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester’s summer collegiate baseball team is returning to Fitton Field this month.
The Worcester Bravehearts will host Opening Night on Friday, May 29, at 6:30 p.m. The evening will feature baseball under the lights, postgame fireworks and a performance by national anthem singer Todd Angilly.
The Bravehearts begin their 2026 season on Tuesday, May 27, against the Westfield Starfires. They will then face the Vermont Lake Monsters on Thursday, May 28, and Friday, May 29.

The Bravehearts compete in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, a wood-bat summer collegiate league made up of teams across New England. Worcester has won four league championships in franchise history.
Other Futures League teams include the Lowell Spinners, Nashua Silver Knights, New Britain Bees, Norwich Sea Unicorns, Vermont Lake Monsters and Westfield Starfires.

Tickets for box and grandstand seats range from $11 to $12. More information about tickets is available on the team’s website here.
Fitton Field, located on the College of the Holy Cross campus, serves as the Bravehearts’ home ballpark.
The team’s roster for the 2026 season has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be posted on the Bravehearts website when available.
In December, the Bravehearts announced Shrewsbury resident Joe Galvin as the team’s new manager. Galvin is the head baseball coach at Fitchburg State University, has worked with the Shrewsbury Legion Post 397 baseball team and previously served as a police lieutenant in Northborough.
