Worcester Man Faces Drug Charges After Speeding Stop
Police said they found crack cocaine, marijuana and a large amount of cash.
WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man is facing drug charges after police stopped a speeding vehicle this week, according to the Worcester Police Department.
Timothy Carpenter, 48, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, distribution of a Class D substance and speeding, police said. He was pulled over for speeding on Wednesday night, according to the Worcester Police Department.
Officers initially saw the vehicle speeding on Illinois Street, according to police. During the stop, officers said they noticed Carpenter attempting to conceal a baggie while they asked for his license and registration.
Police said officers found nine baggies of crack cocaine, two large freezer bags containing marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash. Carpenter was then placed under arrest.
