Worcester’s Hanover Theatre Unveils 2026 Summer Camps, Student Shows

The theatre will feature a slate of musical theatre and dance programs for young performers across Central Massachusetts.

WORCESTER, MA — The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory for the Performing Arts has unveiled its 2026 summer education lineup, featuring a slate of musical theatre and dance programs for young performers across Central Massachusetts.

The programming includes student productions of Disney’s Frozen Jr. and The Prom School Edition, along with a mix of workshops and intensives designed for children through recent high school graduates.

“Our summer programs are an opportunity for students to work closely with professional artists who are deeply invested in both the craft and the community,” said Sharon Hart, vice president of conservatory and education.

The lineup features:

  • Children’s Musical Theatre Workshop (June 29–July 3, Aug. 3–7, Aug. 10–14), geared toward students in grades 1–4, culminating in a showcase performance
  • Pre-Teen Musical Theatre Intensive (July 6–18 and July 20–Aug. 1), where grades 5–8 will rehearse and stage Frozen Jr.
  • Teen Musical Theatre Intensive (July 6–26 and July 27–Aug. 15), including a new Broadway Bootcamp and performances of The Prom School Edition on the main stage
  • Summer Dance Intensive Week (Aug. 10–14), offering ballet training and exposure to styles such as jazz, flamenco and contemporary dance

Programs will be led by a mix of returning instructors and new faculty, including professional directors, choreographers and music educators with Broadway and regional credits.

The summer offerings are part of the theatre’s broader effort to expand access to arts education and develop emerging talent in Worcester, officials said.
