Worcester Students To Get Free Breakfast, Lunch In The Upcoming School Year
All district schools in Worcester will provide free breakfast and lunch each school day during the 2026-27 academic year.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester Public Schools students will continue to receive meals at no cost during the upcoming school year.
All district schools in Worcester will provide free breakfast and lunch each school day during the 2026-27 academic year through the federal Community Eligibility Provision, WPS announced Friday. Families will not be required to pay a fee or submit a household application.
The district participates in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, which provide nutritionally balanced meals to students.
Worcester Public Schools serves nearly 25,000 students in prekindergarten through Grade 12 across nearly 50 schools and programs. District students speak more than 70 languages.
Program information is available in languages other than English and alternative formats for people with disabilities.
