Live updates (petoskeynews.com) — Rising water at the Cheboygan Lock and Dam has inched to just over five inches below the top of the structure, triggering heightened concern under the Ready, Set, Go evacuation framework. While Alanson isn’t named, downstream communities along the Cheboygan River system are being urged to prepare for possible evacuation if levels continue climbing.
