• Horse dies, child injured in Amish buggy crash in Beaverton Township (upnorthlive.com) — An Amish buggy crash in Beaverton Township left an 11-year-old boy seriously injured and killed the horse pulling the buggy after it collided with an SUV on McCulloch Road near Lang Road. The child driver was hospitalized, while the 79-year-old Gladwin County woman driving the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office.
   

• One person injured in crash involving four vehicles in Gladwin County (midmichigannow.com) — A four-vehicle crash in Beaverton Township on M-18 near Coolidge Road injured a 27-year-old Midland man driving a Jeep Cherokee, according to the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators say the Jeep rear-ended a stopped Chevy Traverse at a construction site, triggering a chain reaction with two more vehicles before the Jeep sideswiped a Chevy Silverado.
