• Surveillance camera proposal fails in 4-1 vote (antrimreview.net) — Bellaire’s village board has rejected a proposal to install a Flock surveillance camera near Lakeview Cemetery on Bellaire Highway, voting 4–1 after raising concerns about privacy and Fourth Amendment rights. Trustees questioned broad license plate tracking and public access to the data, even as similar cameras are already used elsewhere in the county to target drug activity. 
• County sees gains in road quality (antrimreview.net) — Road conditions across Antrim County, including routes Bellaire drivers rely on, are steadily improving as the Road Commission reports that miles rated “good” have doubled since 2003. Officials say they’re on track to reach long‑term targets for reducing poor roads within the next few years, based on recent trend data shared with county commissioners.
• TC golfer has dominant final round to win Michigan Open (upnorthlive.com) — Bellaire hosted a big moment in Michigan golf as Traverse City pro Cameron Ruge fired a sizzling 7‑under 64 at Shanty Creek’s Cedar River Course to win the Michigan Open by seven shots. His steady final round, capped by a birdie on 18, earned him $15,000, a crystal trophy, and a spot on the historic James D. Standish Trophy.
