• 79-year-old woman dead after being struck by train in Genoa Township (livingstondaily.com) — A 79-year-old Genoa Township woman was killed after being struck by a train near Chilson and Brighton roads, with troopers from the Brighton Post responding Wednesday morning. Investigators believe she may have fallen while walking along the tracks to a nearby store, and the intersection was closed for several hours while police worked to identify her and notify family.
