The case surfaced when his roommate reported disturbing content to Burton police, who then worked with state and county agencies to investigate and move the case toward trial and sentencing.

• Livingston Physician Organization receives Priority Health grant (thelivingstonpost.com) — Burton residents with diabetes could soon find eye care easier to access, as Genesys Physician Hospital Organization in Burton received funding to add in-office retinal screening at select primary care offices. The grant, part of Priority Health’s new mini-grant program, aims to catch diabetic eye disease earlier and reduce barriers to this important preventive exam.
