• Microsoft data center decision on hold after hours-long public hearing in Gaines Township (wwmt.com) — A massive Microsoft data center project just north of Caledonia is on hold after Gaines Township planners delayed a rezoning decision, keeping the proposal under review. Hundreds of nearby residents, including many from the Caledonia area, packed South Christian High School to debate noise, infrastructure, jobs, and how the project could reshape the community for decades.
   

• Nessel accuses Rep. Rigas of Waste, Fraud and Abuse after asking for transparency from the Attorney General (gophouse.org) — Caledonia’s state representative Angela Rigas is pressing Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel for a fuller accounting of taxpayer money spent on several high-profile legal cases. Rigas says Nessel’s office only disclosed limited travel and filing costs and isn’t tracking attorney time, while Nessel calls the subcommittee’s request an inefficient use of resources. The oversight panel plans to keep pursuing more detailed spending information.
