• Plan for new tower aims to eliminate Beaver Island communication dead zones (upnorthlive.com) — Charlevoix County leaders have approved funding for a new communication tower on Beaver Island to fix dangerous radio dead zones for first responders. The $2 million project, involving Charlevoix, Cheboygan, and Emmet counties, aims to improve connections with CCE Central Dispatch, with the proposal headed to the CCE board on June 17 for further review.
