• Shiawassee County Circuit Court news, 6-10-26 (argus-press.com) — Shiawassee County Circuit Court has released a new round of plea and sentencing decisions, including a Corunna man ordered to serve a year in prison for failing to pay child support. Several other mid-Michigan residents also received prison time or upcoming sentencing dates on charges ranging from child support violations to drug and sexual offenses, giving residents a snapshot of current local court activity.
   

• Corunna woman pleads guilty to sharing explicit image of her young child (argus-press.com) — A Corunna resident has pleaded guilty in Shiawassee County Circuit Court to multiple felony counts related to creating and sharing an explicit image of her young child, and is now jailed awaiting sentencing. Investigators say the case surfaced after a tip involving her boyfriend’s phone, leading to a detailed Michigan State Police probe. Sentencing is scheduled for July 31.
   

• Second defendant pleads guilty in countywide fraud case (argus-press.com) — In a case handled at the courthouse in Corunna, an Owosso man has admitted to helping run a countywide check and identity fraud scheme that hit local residents and businesses for more than $50,000. Prosecutors say he and a co-defendant stole mail, opened bogus bank accounts, and used a Charlotte man’s identity to move money. Both men now face restitution and lengthy prison terms.
