1 Arrested During Arbaeen March In Dearborn: Police
Police also asked the community for help to locate any other marchers or protestors that engaged in a fight or other unlawful behavior.
DEARBORN, MI — One person was arrested after a fight during the Arbaeen March on Sunday in Dearborn, according to police.
The demonstrators were moving south on Greenfield Road in east Dearborn when they were met by a group of agitators, who verbally engaged with marchers, according to police.
A fight then broke out between the two sides, according to police.

Officers quickly deescalated the fight and arrested one person, according to police.
Police did not identify the person, but said they were being held in jail without bond. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office is weighing charges.

"Physical violence will never be tolerated in Dearborn and we will take measures to hold all involved responsible," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said.
The Arbaeen March is a yearly religious commemoration that promotes peace and justice.
Police are also asking the community for help in locating any other marchers or protestors that engaged in a physical assault and any other dangerous and unlawful behavior during the otherwise peaceful march.
