1 Dead In Dearborn Single-Vehicle Crash: Police

DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn police are investigating a fatal Thursday morning crash.

The crash happened at 8:23 a.m. Thursday near Monroe Street and Beech Street in Dearborn, according to police.

Investigators believe a speeding driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed in the area.

The driver, a Dearborn Heights resident, was taken to a nearby hospital where they died, according to police.

Police did not identify the victim or release any additional details about the crash, which is still under investigation.

"This is a terrible tragedy, and we extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said.
