1 Seriously Hurt In Dearborn Hit-And-Run Crash: Police

DEARBORN, MI — A person was injured in a Friday hit-and-run crash in Dearborn, according to police.

The incident happened at 9:02 p.m. Friday in the 6951 block of Chase Road near Warren Road, according to police.

Investigators said a moped driver was sideswiped by a dark-colored Dodge Grand Caravan.

Police did not identify the moped driver, but said the person suffered serious injuries and was listed in critical condition at a nearby hospital.

Investigators believe the Caravan is likely a 2008–2010 model year, with chrome accents and silver-colored wheels. They do not have the vehicle’s license plate number.

The vehicle was last seen moving south on Chase Road following the crash, according to police.

Investigators asked anyone who witnessed the crash, has information regarding the involved vehicle, or may have relevant dash-camera, surveillance, or cell phone video from the area around the time of the incident to call the Dearborn Police Department at 313-943-2241.
