Arab American nonprofit to open new mental health center in Dearborn (detroitnews.com) — Dearborn is getting a major new 53,000-square-foot ACCESS Recovery Center on Michigan Avenue, bringing outpatient care, crisis stabilization, residential treatment, and a food pantry to local residents starting in 2027. Backed by state, federal, county, and city support, the project aims to tackle addiction and mental health needs while reducing stigma, and will continue ACCESS' long role serving Dearborn's Arab American and broader community.
   

2. Two charged after threats to Dearborn mayor, Michigan Supreme Court (milawyersweekly.com) — Dearborn residents are learning that two people have been charged with terrorism-related offenses, including one accused of threatening a local mosque and Mayor Abdullah Hammoud. State officials say such threats are part of a troubling pattern targeting religious institutions and public figures, and they're urging residents to promptly report any suspicious or threatening behavior to help protect the broader community.
   

3. Michigan Bill Offers School Credit for Skilled Trades Work (achrnews.com) — A proposed Michigan bill would let high school seniors earn academic credit by working full time in skilled trades, potentially easing labor shortages in fields like HVAC. A Henry Ford College instructor in Dearborn says the plan could help contractors train young workers, though he also wants incentives for employers who take on and mentor these students.
