1. Join Us! WKAR at East Lansing Pride 2026 (wkar.org) — Downtown East Lansing will host the fifth annual East Lansing Pride celebration this Saturday, June 13, from 4-9 p.m. on Albert Avenue. WKAR staff will be on-site with giveaways alongside drag performances, live music, family-friendly activities, and more than 50 local vendors, all cohosted by the East Lansing Downtown Management Board and Spartan Housing Cooperative.

2. Revised Proposal for Downtown Apartment Shrinks Building Size, Removes Public Parking (eastlansinginfo.news) — A major 10-story student-focused apartment is being proposed for the Bailey Street surface lot off Albert Avenue, eliminating on-site parking and most public spaces while leasing spots in other city lots. East Lansing planners and neighbors are weighing spillover parking concerns, enforcement needs, and broader questions about how many large student buildings downtown should reshape street parking and neighborhood life.

3. MSU Extension's First Strawberry Day Coming July 8 (morningagclips.com) — Michigan State University Extension, based in East Lansing, is inviting local growers to its free 2026 Strawberry Day on Wednesday, July 8, with registration capped at 50 people. The program runs at River Valley Farms in Constantine and Corey Lake Orchards in Three Rivers, covering strawberry production, pest management, agritourism, and direct sales, and includes lunch, dessert, and networking.
