• Farmington Hills Receives Grant Funding for Pedestrian Crossing Upgrades (oaklandcounty115.com) — Farmington Hills has secured a $325,000 SEMCOG grant to add flashing beacons and other safety upgrades at six busy pedestrian crossings, many near schools. The project will improve sidewalks, connect bike and walking corridors, and create safer routes for students, families, and commuters across key roads like 14 Mile, Farmington, Drake, 11 Mile, 9 Mile, and Shiawassee.

• Highland man found guilty of first-degree murder in fiancée's death (hometownlife.com) — An Oakland County jury has convicted 22-year-old Michael Devon Webb of first-degree murder for fatally shooting his fiancée in their Highland Township home in April 2025. While the case centers on Highland, it’s part of a broader pattern of serious violent crime prosecuted in the county that also includes a separate case involving a Farmington Hills victim.
