📰 News we're reading

• Water testing underway after second Fenton main break (wnem.com) — If you live along North Leroy between 1305 and 1580, including Fenton Common and Pineview Drive, you're still under a boil water advisory after a second main break. City crews have restored service, but testing must run 48 hours before officials can safely lift the advisory and notify affected homes.

• Lady Warhawks fifth in County Invitational (thecitizenonline.com) — Fenton swimmers made a strong showing as Fenton High School hosted the mid-season Genesee County Invitational, finishing second overall behind Grand Blanc. The Brandon-Goodrich Warhawks celebrated their best team result in a decade, with multiple personal-best times and state-qualifying performances that also punched tickets to the MISCA Invitational later this month.

• Cooking With the Chiefs raises funds for Voices for Children in Flint (midmichigannow.com) — Fenton residents might like knowing their own fire department helped cook up a win for kids in need at a Flint charity cook-off.
