Feeling the weight of this election season? You're not alone. Join two local board-certified art therapists for a free, calming evening of art, listening, and support at Affirmations in Ferndale.

"The Weight of the Divide: An Evening of Art, Listening, and Support" uses simple art therapy based methods to help people process the stress and emotional weight of today's political climate. No art experience is needed, and all materials are provided. This is not a debate or a political event. It's a welcoming space to slow down, create, and be heard.

The evening is co-facilitated by art therapists Dr. Shazia Siddiqi (PhD, LPC, ATR-BC) and Dr. Bethany Baker (PhD, LMFT, ATR, First Lady of the City of Troy).

Everyone is welcome, wherever they stand politically. Youth are welcome with a parent or guardian. The Mayor of the City of Troy, Ethan Baker, will be making art and listening alongside everyone, and we encourage other leaders and community members across every divide to join us as well.

When: Wednesday, October 21, 6:00 to 7:30 PM
Where: Affirmations, 290 W. Nine Mile Rd, Ferndale
Cost: Free
