The funding will support Genesee County students during the 2026-27 school year, strengthening efforts to prepare the next generation of Flint and county leaders. 
• Bendle's record-breaking first quarter leads to 60-0 win over Detroit Northwestern (mlive.com) — Flint-area fans saw Burton Bendle explode for a record 34-point first quarter in a 60-0 win that included a past rout of International Academy of Flint as a benchmark. The senior-heavy Tigers dominated on both sides of the ball and now turn to Genesee Area Conference play on Sept. 3.
