1. 67th annual Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival kicks off with maypole raising (midmichigannow.com) — Frankenmuth’s 67th annual Bavarian Festival is underway this weekend, bringing maypole-raising, live music, and thousands of visitors into town along with a boost for local shops and restaurants. Events run through Sunday’s parade, with a big Main Street street-party Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight that will close part of the roadway and pack the Covered Bridge area with festivalgoers.

Softball Recap: Frankenmuth's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over (maxpreps.com) — Frankenmuth Eagles softball saw their five-game winning streak snapped Tuesday in an 11-4 postseason loss to Armada, leaving the team at 22-13 with no further games scheduled. A Frankenmuth library is connecting readers with stories that reflect the state's people, places and overlooked characters this summer (mlive.com) — Frankenmuth readers can meet Michigan author John Counts at a free talk and signing at Frankenmuth Wickson District Library on Saturday, June 20, at 1 p.m. The event, part of the library’s “Unearth a Story” Summer Reading 2026 and the Michigan Notable Books program, will explore how the state’s landscapes and overlooked characters shape his darkly comic short stories. Registration is encouraged, and light refreshments are planned.
