• Police shooting that killed 15-year-old Macomb County boy ruled justified, body camera video released (clickondetroit.com) — Macomb County investigators have ruled that Fraser police were justified in last month’s fatal shooting of 15-year-old Ayden Gould during a domestic violence call on Breezeway near 13 Mile and Groesbeck. Newly released body camera video shows officers using Tasers before Gould advanced with a knife, prompting four shots. The sheriff called the case tragic and said Fraser’s chief will review department practices.
   

• Three Michigan police officers cleared in shooting investigation (knewz.com) — A Macomb County investigation has cleared three Fraser officers in the May 30 shooting of a 15-year-old during a domestic dispute on Breezeway in Fraser. Officials say body camera footage shows officers first tried Tasers before one veteran officer fired four shots when the teen advanced with a knife. All three officers are now returning to duty after being found legally justified.
   

• Utica Ford's Female Athlete of the Year Colleen O'Brien exits stage left after fine prep career (macombdaily.com) — Utica Ford multi-sport standout Claire O’Brien has been named the school’s Female Athlete of the Year after excelling in basketball, track and field, and even picking up soccer as a senior. Her track season included winning shot put at the Fraser regional and multiple Macomb County meets, while she now prepares to continue her basketball career at Macomb Community College.
