• Over $22K in restitution ordered in trailer theft case (oceanacountypress.com) — In Hart’s 51st Circuit Court, a Pierson man was ordered to pay more than $22,000 in restitution after admitting he stole a customized utility trailer from a local contractor. He’ll also serve five months in jail and 18 months of probation, with fines and possible work release, following his April 2026 arrest by Pentwater Police.
   

• Troopers search for women, child last seen tubing on the Muskegon River (wwmt.com) — State troopers from the MSP Hart Post are urgently searching for two Muskegon women and a 9-year-old boy last seen tubing on the Muskegon River near Maple Island Boat Launch. Their vehicle was found with a smashed window, and family can’t reach them. Anyone who may have seen them or their orange and pink tubes is asked to call local authorities immediately.
