Comcast today announced it will make its Michigan debut of the Xfinity hot air balloon at the 41st Annual Michigan Challenge Balloonfest, taking place June 26–28 in Howell. Appearing for the first time in the state, the nearly 90-foot-tall balloon will be a centerpiece at Michigan’s largest hot air balloon festival, offering attendees a memorable, immersive experience.

“The Michigan Challenge Balloonfest gives us a special opportunity to connect with customers and communities in Howell and across Livingston County,” said Sonya Callahan, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Comcast. “Bringing the Xfinity hot air balloon to Michigan for the first time reflects our commitment to delivering reliable connectivity to residents and businesses while creating memorable experiences that bring people together.”

Showcasing Xfinity’s “Imagine That” campaign, the balloon brings to life how Xfinity helps make everyday moments easier and more enjoyable with fast, reliable Internet, mobile, home security and entertainment that work better together. It also highlights the benefits of Xfinity Membership, which provides customers with access to exclusive perks, events and entertainment experiences – such as limited-time Minions collectible drops, including pins and t-shirts, available at 700 Xfinity stores nationwide through July 5 while supplies last in celebration of Illumination’s Minions & Monsters, premiering in theaters on July 1, 2026.
