• Hudsonville card shop allegedly burglarized by Grand Rapids officer days before he resigned (mlive.com) — A Hudsonville sports card shop, Playmarkers Collectibles, was allegedly burglarized in March, and a former Grand Rapids police officer is now charged in the break-in. Investigators linked him to the Hudsonville case after a later Grand Rapids burglary, matching surveillance images and recovered merchandise to items taken from the local store. 
• Nalichowski's hat trick clinches Bloomfield Hills Marian finals berth (freep.com subscription) — Hudsonville Unity Christian’s undefeated girls soccer team will face Bloomfield Hills Marian in the Division 1 state final at Michigan State’s DeMartin Stadium this Saturday. Marian advanced after junior Leah Nalichowski’s hat trick powered a 4-1 semifinal win over New Boston Huron, capping a standout season in her first year back in high school soccer.
