• Ionia County deputies say reported shootout was a hoax (wilx.com) — Law enforcement rushed to Riverside Drive in Ionia Township Tuesday after a 911 caller falsely reported a shootout and hostage situation, which deputies later determined was a hoax. Multiple agencies, including Michigan State Police, responded before discovering the caller was a minor, who was then taken into custody for a mental health evaluation.
