• Stolen vehicle chase ends in crash with KDPS patrol vehicle (wkzo.com) — A stolen vehicle chase through Kalamazoo ended Thursday with a head-on crash into a Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety patrol car in the Vine neighborhood on Oak Street. Two suspects, ages 20 and 23, were arrested after fleeing on foot, and both they and the KDPS officer were evaluated at local hospitals before the officer's release. No other injuries were reported. 
• Graduate profile: Karsen Mellado '26 (albion.edu) — A recent Albion College graduate is now working as a lab technician in Kalamazoo after landing the job just days before graduation. She credits campus research, internships, and study-abroad experiences with preparing her for the move, and encourages students to join a few organizations to open doors without overloading themselves.
