• Leelanau County Faring Better Than Its Neighbors Amidst Historic Rainfall, Flooding (leelanauticker.com) — Flooding across Leelanau County is threatening South Lake Leelanau Drive and other low-lying roads, though damage so far is less severe than in neighboring counties. County officials have declared a local state of emergency, are monitoring Little Traverse Lake and Veronica Valley Park closely, and may seek funds next week to repair a washed‑out service road crucial for Kids Fishing Day preparations.
