• Michigan averages 15 tornadoes a year. We've already had 12 and it's only April (mlive.com) — Lincoln Park in Wayne County was hit by an EF-1 tornado with 95 mph winds during this week’s severe storms, part of a broader outbreak that spawned eight weak twisters across Michigan. Meteorologists say the state has already seen 12 tornadoes this year and suggest climate change may be shifting our tornado season earlier into spring.
