1. 99 Hawaiian students enrolled in Macomb County districts in 2024-25 (warrensun.com) — If you have kids in Macomb County schools, new data shows just 99 Hawaiian students were enrolled across local districts in 2024-25, only 0.1% of the county's 115,358 students. Richmond Community Schools had the largest share, while overall Michigan enrollment continues to decline slightly since before the pandemic. 
2. Two people injured in another Macomb County boat explosion (macombdaily.com) — Boaters using Lake St. Clair along Macomb County should know two people were injured Tuesday evening in another gas-dock explosion at Emerald City Marina in St. Clair Shores. It's the fourth boat blast in less than a year in these waters, with previous incidents in Harrison Township and at the same marina, raising fresh safety concerns.
3. EV driver charged $418 at dealership charger listed as public on EVgo app (wxyz.com) — An EV driver from Clinton Township was hit with a $418 bill after using a charger at a Hyundai dealership on Hall Road in Macomb Township that appeared as public on the EVgo app. After media attention and complaints, EVgo issued a $405 goodwill refund and urged drivers to always check on-screen pricing, a warning especially relevant for local EV owners.
4. Sacred Heart Church's date with the wrecking ball arrives (macombdaily.com) — Demolition is underway at the former Sacred Heart Church site in Roseville to build an $8 million Sheetz gas station and convenience store, part of the chain's expansion into Macomb County. Sheetz already opened a location at Gratiot and Hall in Macomb Township and plans seven county sites total, bringing more fueling and food options within a short drive for local residents.
5. L'Anse Creuse's Preston Geigle hopes to lead Lancers on grand turnaround season (macombdaily.com) — Macomb County football fans get a close look at L'Anse Creuse senior lineman Preston Geigle, who's determined to help the Harrison Township program rebound from a 1-8 season. With a new disciplinarian head coach, strong scrimmage showings, and Geigle drawing college interest, the Lancers hope to contend in the MAC Blue and restore pride this fall.

What your neighbors are talking about on social media
- I just checked the price and what was offered for four new tires from Costco, Discount Tire, Belle Tire, and two car dealerships.
The two car dealerships were way overpriced I assume due to their mechanics cost. Belle Tire was a bit higher in cost but did say they would match… (Nextdoor Cornerstone Village) - So a friend needed a microwave.
I found one on the floor at Lowe's that the sales women told me it was an opened boxed item. Bought it and when I opened the box the whole side was… (Nextdoor 22 Mile rd)
