Midland closes several streets as Tittabawassee River keeps rising (abc12.com) — Several Midland streets are closed as the Tittabawassee River continues rising toward a projected crest of about 27.1 feet early Friday. City officials list multiple current closures, warn that additional roads may flood, and say they’ll keep residents updated as river levels and detours change.

Ingersoll Planning Commission to decide Poseyville Solar Park decision (ourmidland.com) — Ingersoll Township’s Planning Commission will continue its public hearing on DTE’s proposed Poseyville Solar Park at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 20, at Messiah Church on South Poseyville Road in Midland. The venue was moved from the township hall to handle large crowds as residents and the applicant make final on-the-record comments before commissioners deliberate and vote on the special use permit.

Why flooding is still happening downstream of Sanford Dam (ourmidland.com) — Flooding along the Tittabawassee River in Midland and Sanford this week is being driven by heavy rain and watershed runoff, not a failure of the newly operating Sanford Dam.
